About Us

Our Story

Work- Based Learning - The area learning center is dedicated to helping students transition successfully into the community and one program we utilize is a work-based learning program. The ultimate goal of this program is to help students complete their high school diploma and find meaningful employment in the community. Matching students to good paying jobs that align to their strengths and talents will help them overcome many of the stressors they have experienced in life so far. We hope that the program will increase students’ confidence, drive, motivation and purpose since they can see themselves as valuable and equipped to find meaningful work within our community. We currently have 60 students enrolled in the work-based learning program and we work with 30 (and currently expanding) employers.
