Lake Park School
Lake Park School provides the education program to Prairie Lakes Youth Programs for off-site students through the Willmar Public Schools. Since 1991, the program has served youth, ages 12-18 from all areas of Minnesota. The mission of Lake Park School is "to prepare students for success now and in the future by becoming lifelong learners." We do this by upholding our beliefs, staff commitments and holding students to a high standard. This Care and Treatment program works with 340--400 students per year from approximately 80 school districts. School program highlights include:
- Transition to and from home school district and other placements;
- Special education services;
- EL services;
- GED preparation;
- Career Readiness Competency Education
- Educational standards implemented in coursework;
- School credit toward graduation;
- Individual instruction as needed
- MCA Testing in Reading, Math, and Science
